The Downtown YMCA is proud to bring you the Y Character Counts Preschool Program. Children will enhance their large motor skills as they participate in a variety of gym-related activities. Social development is also encouraged as the children learn to play together in a group and how to conduct themselves in a classroom.
Children work daily on writing their names, learning the alphabet, and number recognition while we introduce many other small motor skills in the classroom. The program runs September through May and each week will be based on a new and exciting theme.
8:45 – Free play in the room
9:15 – Morning activities
9:30 – Gym/Lesson time
10:30 – Bathroom break, hand washing + snack
11:00 – Craft
11:20 – Storytime
11:30 – Parent pick up

The fees are a contracted monthly rate due the first of the month prior to the program.
